Door County Wisconsin scenic landscape

Our story

Born from a love of Door County

We're two Door County locals who fell in love with slow travel — and built the fleet we always wished existed.

How DoorSky began

DoorSky Campers started the way most good things do: with a road trip that didn't go quite as planned. We rented a teardrop from a national chain, got handed a generic white box with a broken coffee maker, and spent the weekend wishing we were somewhere — and in something — better.

We knew Door County deserved more than that. The limestone bluffs, the cherry orchards, the hidden coves along Green Bay — this peninsula is one of the most beautiful places in the Midwest, and it deserves to be explored at your own pace, in a teardrop camper that actually feels like home.

What we believe in

Slow travel

The best moments happen when you stop rushing. Our teardrop campers are built for lingering — over coffee, over a view, over a conversation.

Local first

Every teardrop is stocked with Door County provisions. We partner with local farms, roasters, and makers to put the peninsula in every detail.

Obsessive preparation

Every teardrop is deep-cleaned, fully inspected, and personally restocked before each trip. We don't cut corners — your adventure depends on it.

Real local knowledge

You get our personal route guides, seasonal tips, and a direct line to us — not a call center — if you ever need anything on the road.

Our promise to you

Every DoorSky teardrop camper leaves our hands clean, stocked, and road-ready. If something isn't right, you have our personal number — not a ticketing system. We stand behind every rental because our name is on every key.
